 IMPROPER REFUSE DUMPING AT ATAN_OBA STREET IN OFFA: RESIDENTS COMPLAIN 

 

         Residents lamented the indiscriminate disposal of waste at Atan Oba Street in Offa Local Government Area, Kwara State.

    The rate at which refuse is dumped here is inappropriate and alarming. According to an interviewed resident, she said the air is being polluted due to the overload and stench of refuse, which is not being properly managed.

   She further mentioned that the people living in the area are uncomfortable dumping their waste there, but they have no choice because there is no other place to do so.

 Water taps are laid underground, and they sometimes get damaged. When this happens, water either cannot flow or becomes contaminated, causing danger for human consumption. We plead with the government to take proper action regarding this improper refuse disposal in this area by establishing an agency to keep Offa and its environment clean and ensure its enforcement to make it always functional. 

   With this action, Offa will become a clean and safe place to live.
